A business residence permit in Poland
A residence card for business in Poland (karta czasowego pobytu) may be issued if the purpose of stay is running a business - either as a sole trader (JDG) or by serving on a company's management board.
The permit is usually issued for up to 3 years; review more often takes from 3 to 9 months — it depends on the voivodeship. From 27 April 2026 the application is filed via MOS only (mos.cudzoziemcy.gov.pl). Paper filing at the office is no longer accepted. A JDG residence permit in Poland: legalisation through entrepreneurship
We will help you obtain a JDG residence permit — a temporary residence permit on the basis of sole-trader activity (działalność gospodarcza). It suits those who plan to live in Poland and actually run a business here, not only «open a firm on paper».
The grounds are the Act on Foreigners and the current rules on gov.pl (UDSC / MOS).
To obtain a JDG residence permit you need to:
- register a JDG in CEIDG;
- show income sufficient to live on, or a plan to reach it;
- have housing and medical insurance;
- confirm real activity (reporting, operations, a business plan if needed).
The permit is issued for up to 3 years. From 27 April 2026 the application is filed through MOS. Later, if the conditions are met, you can apply for permanent residence or an EU long-term resident card.
It is not enough to register a business: you need to run it — taxes, reporting, operations, preferably jobs.
The specialists at MIA CONSULT GROUP help from registering the activity through to the pack in MOS and the biometrics appointment.
