In Warsaw it is most often issued together with address registration at the district office where you live. We can tell you which pack they usually ask for; you receive the number itself at the gmina, not in the pack for the card.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a9df86e elementor-widget elementor-widget-html\" data-id=\"a9df86e\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"html.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"w-1300\">\n<h2 class=\"h2\">Who needs it<\/h2>\n<\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-8d3dea5 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"8d3dea5\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"p1\">Almost everyone who lives and works here rather than on a short visit needs it: taxes, the bank, the clinic, school, the employer. An application for a residence card without a PESEL is sometimes accepted, but without the number everything then stalls \u2014 from pay to insurance.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a396ce1 elementor-widget elementor-widget-html\" data-id=\"a396ce1\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"html.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"w-1300\">\n<h2 class=\"h2\">Where in Warsaw<\/h2>\n<\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-2326b5f elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"2326b5f\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"p1\">You need to go to the population-register desk of the district office where your address stands. A neighbouring district will not issue the number, even if it is easier to get there. Booking is on the district website if it is open; if there are no slots, you are left with the walk-in queue. Which days and which room \u2014 better to check the page of the particular dzielnica; they differ.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-70598ec elementor-widget elementor-widget-html\" data-id=\"70598ec\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"html.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"w-1300\">\n<h2 class=\"h2\">Which documents<\/h2>\n<\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-73f7034 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"73f7034\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"p1\">People usually bring a passport, a document of stay \u2014 a visa or a card \u2014 sometimes proof that a residence-card application has already been filed, if the district accepts that, and proof of address. For many foreigners PESEL comes in the same visit as address registration: without housing they generally will not issue the number.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a73e8fe elementor-widget elementor-widget-html\" data-id=\"a73e8fe\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"html.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"w-1300\">\n<h2 class=\"h2\">How you apply<\/h2>\n<\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d1103c5 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"d1103c5\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"p1\">You fill in the PESEL form and, if needed, the address-registration form, bring originals and copies, sometimes a sworn translation. What most often delays it is the wrong district, no housing contract, or no current ground in the passport for why you live here.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4dbf61e elementor-widget elementor-widget-html\" data-id=\"4dbf61e\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"html.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"w-1300\">\n<h2 class=\"h2\">Mistakes<\/h2>\n<\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-076fddf elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"076fddf\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"p1\">Typical mistakes: you went to the wrong district, there is no contract, you wait for PESEL to appear on its own with the residence card. People also confuse an ordinary PESEL and PESEL UKR: these are different regimes.
